\-- testing/             This directory contained packages being tested
                         for possible use in future versions of Slackware.
                         As the additions will not be part of Slackware
                         12.2, the directory is shipped empty.  The new
                         features will continue development in the next
                         Slackware -current, possibly to be merged into
                         the main tree for Slackware 13.0.
 

If you wish to test KDE4 you can find the /testing directory on
Slackware FTP sites, such as ftp.osuosl.org in 
/pub/slackware/slackware-current/testing.

If there is enough interest, we might publish a single DVD that contains the
/testing directory for a reasonable price, or possibly a disc that contains
the upcoming KDE 4.2 release compiled for Slackware 12.2.  If you think you
would be interested in this, please write to info@slackware.com and let us
know.  Any suggestions about what you'd be willing to pay for a disc in an
envelope release would also be appreciated.
