Players take turns trying to get rid of their cards, while doing their best to try to block their opponent from doing the same. It's an easy game to learn, and offers the chance for skill to win out over luck. For the veteran card players, Cat and Mouse offers three different skill levels to play against, not to mention the option to banter with you during the game. Cat and Mouse also offers four unique game playing options, as the game is sometimes played differently in various areas: "Kings Wild", "Must Discard", "Must play Aces and Twos", and "Short Game". This update adds the ability to undo and redo moves, as well as a sticky mouse option (an alternative to click and drag), and the replay game feature. Enter a time, set a few time zones, and this stack will compute the correct time in the set time zones. From base time to zone time and vice versa. If you enter a date as well, the correct daylight saving time corrections (summertime) are taken into account. This version can show up to 12 timezones simultaneously. This stack is a Macintosh application of the TZ UNIX timezone database, but only for the current timezone information, not the historical information. This stack is updated from TZdata2001d. What is so special about this stack? * You can find information about ALL known time zones of the world. The database has 407 zone cards. * ALL known information about daylight saving time (summertime) is included. * Calculations are made with a precision of one minute, even in the case of a transition from summer time to winter time (or vice versa) right now. * The information is extremely up to date. * You can study and change all information yourself, nothing is hidden. Hi, I have a new G4 733 40/256 with a scsi card for my scanner and OS 9.2.1 & 10.1 installed (just so all the facts are out there). There have been 5 or 6 incidences of freezing up using my new Mac. Mostly they happen when we try to "shut down", but on occasion when closing Outlook Express. So far no other programs seem to be involved and none of the periferals (printer or scanner) are on at the time. We've tried all the usual un-freezing key combos (at least they usually worked on the old Mac), but to no avail. Also, there's no "power key" on the new Mac keyboard so I can't do the restart keystrokes. "Mac Help" is no help at all. I want to check the disc with a utility. I had used Norton on my old G3 but I am sure it's not the correct version for the new systems. I have been considering getting the newest Norton version or the MicroMat utility. My questions are, does anyone know what the problems are on shutting down, and are there any opinions on the best system utility to purchase. Thanks for any help. The drive works fine for burning both CD-R and CD-RW disks, but fails with Retrospect Express, v.4.3 backups (even after installing the RDU v.2.3 update). The drive is recognised, but both CD-R and CD-RW disks are seen as "unrecognised", or, sometimes, "busy". Any attempt to erase these disks results in a "hung" state, getting nowhere. No writing to disk is possible. I am in touch with Dantz, but have not yet made too much progress, apart from overcoming my first problem when the drive itself could not be seen by Retrospect (remedied by the RDU update). I do have OS 9.1 on hand, but have not yet installed. Might this help? Failing a solution I shall either have to burn disks of the whole or part of my HD, or resort to my 100 MB ZIP disks. Desktop appears and then it hangs. Boot from a CD and all seems OK until the desk top on the hard drive is almost drawn (you can see icons, the hard drive is there as is the waste basket) BUT then the whole lot hangs again usually with an empty error message box. I've changed memory; reset PRAM; extensions OFF; tried rebuilding desktop - gives error message 10; nothing makes a difference, it still hangs. Drive removed from iMac and set up with working bootable drive as Slave, and then Master, in G3, and then a G4, - same effect, gets no further than desktop before hanging, cursor disappears and Mac hangs even when the other drive is Master. Even tried booting from a floppy but that does the same. Have tried booting from another drive and then plugging in the iMac drive in the hope that it will be seen but Drive Set Up, Norton, Disk Warrior et al don't see it so I can't get into it to either rescue data or even reformat. I suspect that it may be boot blocks or a full disk but until I can get it to mount I can't tell for sure. To summarise whenever this drive is connected the Mac it is on hangs whether it is booting from a CD, another (good) drive, floppy or itself. Does anyone have any other tricks, hints they would like to share.
