ACUERDO DE LICENCIA DE SOFTWARE 
PARA LOS PROGRAMAS DE SOFTWARE DE CANON O DE SUS CONCESIONARIOS

IMPORTANTE

Este documento constituye un contrato legal ("Contrato") entre usted y 
Canon Inc. ("Canon") por el que se rige el uso por su parte de los programas 
de software de Canon o de sus concesionarios que vienen incluidos en el 
producto de Canon "Canon Common Printer Driver for Linux v1.80" ("Producto") y 
que se relacionan en el Listado 1 del Anexo del presente documento. 
En adelante, estos programas de software de Canon o de sus concesionarios se 
denominarán como "Software".

LEA DETENIDAMENTE ESTE DOCUMENTO Y ACEPTE TODOS LOS DERECHOS Y RESTRICCIONES 
DESCRITOS EN EL PRESENTE ACUERDO ANTES DE UTILIZAR EL SOFTWARE.

AL UTILIZAR EL SOFTWARE SEGÚN SE DESCRIBE EN LA SECCIÓN 1 SIGUIENTE, ACEPTA 
QUEDAR SUJETO A LOS TÉRMINOS Y CONDICIONES DE ESTE CONTRATO. SI NO ACEPTA LOS 
TÉRMINOS Y CONDICIONES DEL CONTRATO, NO UTILICE EL SOFTWARE Y DEVUÉLVALO 
INMEDIATAMENTE AL LUGAR DE DONDE LO HAYA OBTENIDO.


1. CONCESIÓN DE LA LICENCIA

Canon le concede una licencia personal, limitada y no exclusiva para utilizar 
("utilizar" indica en este documento el almacenamiento, la carga, la 
instalación, el acceso, la ejecución o la visualización), haber utilizado, 
copiar, haber copiado, distribuir y permitir que terceros usen y copien el 
Software exclusivamente en el Producto. Puede modificar el Software para su 
propio uso, así como emplear técnicas de ingeniería inversa en el mismo para 
depurar dichas modificaciones. Podrá distribuir el Software a cualquier 
tercero sujeto a los mismos términos y condiciones que los incluidos en el 
presente documento. 

2. RESTRICCIONES

No podrá utilizar, asignar, conceder sublicencias, vender, alquilar, arrendar, 
prestar o trasferir el Software a ningún tercero excepto del modo que se 
indica o permite en este documento.

3. AVISO DE DERECHOS DE AUTOR

No podrá modificar, quitar o borrar ninguna marca de Copyright de Canon o sus 
concesionarios que aparece en el Software o en cualquiera de sus copias.

4. PROPIEDAD

Canon y sus concesionarios conservan en su totalidad la titularidad, propiedad 
y derechos sobre la propiedad intelectual del Software y su contenido. 
A excepción de lo establecido expresamente en el presente contrato, Canon no 
le concede ni traspasa ninguna licencia o derecho, expreso o implícito, sobre 
la propiedad intelectual de Canon y sus concesionarios.

5. RESTRICCIÓN PARA LA EXPORTACIÓN

Acepta cumplir con la legislación sobre exportaciones, así como con las 
restricciones y regulaciones del país implicado, y no exportar o volver a 
exportar el Software, de manera directa o indirecta, si con ello infringe 
dicha legislación, restricciones y regulaciones, o si carece de los permisos 
necesarios.

6. AUSENCIA DE GARANTÍAS Y RENUNCIA A INDEMNIZACIONES

ESTE SOFTWARE SE PROPORCIONA "TAL CUAL", SIN GARANTÍA DE NINGÚN TIPO, YA SEA 
EXPRESA O IMPLÍCITA, INCLUIDAS, SIN CARÁCTER LIMITATIVO, LAS GARANTÍAS 
IMPLÍCITAS DE COMERCIABILIDAD E IDONEIDAD PARA UN FIN DETERMINADO. LA CALIDAD, 
EL FUNCIONAMIENTO Y EL RENDIMIENTO DEL SOFTWARE QUEDAN BAJO SU PROPIA Y 
EXCLUSIVA RESPONSABILIDAD. EN CASO DE QUE EL SOFTWARE PRESENTE DEFECTOS, 
DEBERÁ ASUMIR EL COSTE ÍNTEGRO DE TODOS LOS SERVICIOS, REPARACIONES O 
CORRECCIONES NECESARIAS.

CANON, SUS SUBSIDIARIAS O FILIALES Y SUS DISTRIBUIDORES, REPRESENTANTES U 
OTORGANTES DE LICENCIA NO SERÁN EN NINGÚN CASO RESPONSABLES DE NINGÚN DAÑO 
(INCLUIDOS, SIN CARÁCTER LIMITATIVO, LA PÉRDIDA DE BENEFICIOS, LA PÉRDIDA DE 
DATOS EMPRESARIALES, LA INTERRUPCIÓN DE ACTIVIDADES U OTROS DAÑOS 
COMPENSATORIOS, INCIDENTALES O CONSECUENCIALES) RESULTANTE DEL SOFTWARE Y DEL 
USO O DE LA IMPOSIBILIDAD DE USO DEL SOFTWARE, AUNQUE CANON, SUS SUBSIDIARIAS 
O FILIALES O SUS DISTRIBUIDORES, REPRESENTANTES U OTORGANTES DE LICENCIA 
CONOCIERAN LA POSIBILIDAD DE QUE SE PRODUJESEN TALES DAÑOS.

EN LA MÁXIMA MEDIDA PERMITIDA POR LA LEY APLICABLE, USTED EXIME A CANON, SUS 
SUBSIDIARIAS O FILIALES, Y SUS DISTRIBUIDORES, PROVEEDORES U OTORGANTES DE 
LICENCIA DE TODA RESPONSABILIDAD DERIVADA O RELACIONADA CON TODAS LAS 
RECLAMACIONES ACERCA DEL SOFTWARE O DE SU USO.

7. VIGENCIA

Este Contrato entrará en vigor con su aceptación indicada por la utilización 
del Software y seguirá siendo válido hasta su término. Puede poner término a 
este Contrato mediante la destrucción del Software. 

Canon podrá rescindir este Contrato si usted no cumple con los términos aquí 
estipulados. Tras la extinción de este Contrato, aparte del ejercicio de los 
derechos legales correspondientes por parte de Canon, usted deberá destruir el 
Software inmediatamente. 

No obstante, las anteriores secciones números 4 y 6 a 10 seguirán siendo 
válidas tras la extinción del Contrato.

8. U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS NOTICE

The Software is "commercial items," as that term is defined at 48 C.F.R. 2.101 
(October 1995), consisting of "commercial computer software" as such terms are 
used in 48 C.F.R. 12.212 (September 1995). Consistent with 48 C.F.R. 12.212 
and 48 C.F.R. 227.7202-1 through 227.7202-4 (June 1995), all U.S. Government 
End Users shall acquire the Software with only those rights set forth herein. 
Manufacturer is Canon Inc./30-2, Shimomaruko 3-chome, Ohta-ku, Tokyo 146-8501, 
Japan.

9. DIVISIBILIDAD

Si cualquiera de las disposiciones anteriores se declarase ilegal por 
cualquier tribunal con jurisdicción competente, dichas disposiciones se 
considerarían nulas en la jurisdicción de dicho tribunal y las disposiciones 
restantes seguirían en vigor.

10. RECONOCIMIENTO

ACEPTA QUE ESTE CONTRATO CONSTITUYE LA DECLARACIÓN DE ACUERDO COMPLETA Y 
EXCLUSIVA ENTRE USTED Y CANON RESPECTO AL CONTENIDO DE ESTE DOCUMENTO Y 
SUSTITUYE A TODA PROPUESTA O ACUERDO ANTERIOR, YA SEA VERBAL O POR ESCRITO, 
JUNTO CON CUALQUIER OTRA COMUNICACIÓN ENTRE USTED Y CANON RELACIONADA CON EL 
CONTENIDO DE ESTE DOCUMENTO.
