I have a scanner, Iomega Zip already on a chain (they work well) and I want to add a external CD Writer. However rumour has it that for some reason the Motorola doesn't like top heavy daisy chains. Don't want to be left holding lemon! Your thoughts would be appreciated before I plunge into the unknown. Unfortunately Aspyr has caught the OpenGL virus. I'm a BIG fan of their Tomb Raider ports-- I bought TR Gold even though I had bought it earlier for the Saturn, and skipped TR2 on the Playstation in favor of theirs. Both of those played flawlessly on my 200 MHz 604e machine, with an ATi XClaim VR (8 Mb memory) hooked up to a 21" monitor. Using RAVE rendering, the action was as smooth as on any dedicated game machine. But TR3 was released with two choices-- OpenGL and Software rendering. On my machine neither results in a playable game. RAVE, on the other hand, did. Alas, they've completely dumped it-- you don't even have the option. The excuse they gave me was that the third installment was graphically more complex and required a higher-powered graphics engine. Unfortunately, they chose the wrong one. Either that, or Apple's implementation of OpenGL is poor. All I know is that it's keeping me from buying further Aspyr titles-- a shame, since they're a good company. +- Saint John -+ | "Useless warm brown water." The printer refuses to print through this setup (Personal LaserWriter LS works fine). Will someone advice me how to proceed so I can make them work together fine. I don't need PostScript printer often so this one suits me fine and I don't want to buy a new PS printer for few occasional jobs.
