Subject: [*] Apollo 2.0 NL
Apollo is a program which makes it easier for you to start up other programs.
Whatever you are doing on your Mac, you can call up Apollo and ask it to
start an
application or to open a document, control panel, desk accessory or Finder
folder. There's no need to quit the program you are running, no need to
switch to
the Finder and resize your application's windows because they obscure the
Finder's icons on the desktop and no need to double-click your way through
several folders until you can see the program's icon. Just click the mouse and
make a choice from the menu and Apollo does the rest. When you activate Apollo,
it pops up a menu. This menu contains items (applications, documents etc.) which
you have chosen to put into it, with no limit to the number of items. When you
discover how useful Apollo is, you'll want to put lots of items into its menu,
which can become very long. To avoid scrolling menus and to help you organise
your menu, Apollo lets you create groups . A group is a named list of items: its
name appears in the main menu and its items appear in a submenu. Creating groups
is analogous to making folders on your hard disk, except that the members of
Apollo's groups pop up instantly when you move the mouse over the group name. If
you have a number of applications (or folders, or control panels, or desk
accessories, or documents, or any combination of these) which you tend to use
together, you can put them in a group and make the group active. When you choose
the name of an active group from Apollo's main menu, all the applications
in that
group are started up, one after the other-as many applications as memory allows,
started by a single mouse click!

Inaka Software Announces the complete recipe template for FileMaker Pro.
OAKLAND, Calif., May 4, 1998 -- Inaka Software today announced that it
has released the latest version of the popular recipe template for
FileMaker Pro called Computer Cuisine 5.0. Computer Cuisine is by far the
most efficient and simple way to manage your home recipe database. It's
features include a well designed layout that makes adding, viewing,
sorting, finding and printing a snap. In addition to the simple, yet
highly graphical layout, Computer Cuisine allows you to add an infinite
number of your own recipes to the existing database. And because Computer
Cuisine uses FileMaker Pro as it's database engine, Computer Cuisine is
fully cross platform compatible for both Macintosh and Windows users.
Version 5.0 Includes:
* Over 1,000 recipes already entered for your convenience!
* Enhanced graphical layout with simple to use menus and icons!
* Expanded conversion menu for easy calculations to and from U.S.
Standard and Metric!
* List your recipes by item, category, type, or servings! You can choose!
* A print menu which gives users the option of printing in color or b&w,
and in a small or large format! (The small format folds to fit perfectly
onto a 3x5" recipe card).
* Expanded sorting functions! The ability to sort huge recipe lists with
one simple click!
* Fully compatible for both Macintosh and Windows users!

Subject: [*] Cricket v3 (Test Match Simulator)
This completely upgraded version of the cricket game exclusive to the
Mac, has an impressive bowling sequence derived from the real-life action
of a world famous test bowler. You still need to have quick reactions to
score runs against the bowling attack which ranges from fast to cunning
spin. The scoreboard at the ground records your progress and the
scorecards can be called up at any time for a more detailed view of the
innings.
In the full version of Cricket, each team can be selected from a squad of
15 players and you need to assess the bowling and batting performance of
the players to improve your team's performance. Batsmen with lower
batting averages are more likely to give catches as they try for runs -
and make sure you rest your bowlers from time to time so they can keep up
a good line and length.
The full version includes
- Complete set of international teams
- selection of each team from squad of 15 top players
- up-to-date bowling and batting averages
- Test Match or limited overs option
- Selection of next bowler at the end of an over
- Move the fielders to any position
- Replay camera for those controversial lbw and runout decisions
- Save and reload games
- Noballs, overthrows, dropped catches

Subject: [*] Default Folder J-2.8.2 - Japanese version of Open/Save dialog e
Following is a submission of the Japanese version of Default Folder
J-2.8.2. It should be archived alongside the English version, replacing
Default Folder J-2.8.
Default Folder is a shareware control panel that enhances Open and Save
dialog boxes to make it easier for you to manage files on your Macintosh.
It provides many of the essential features of the commercial SuperBoomerang
and Directory Assistance utilities, but without the infrequently used
extras that take their toll in compatibility, memory, and CPU usage. And
it's fully compatible with Mac OS 8.1!
Default Folder's time-saving Open and Save dialog enhancements allow you to:
- Set up a default folder for any or all applications.
- Switch among recently used folders from a pop-up menu.
- See available disk space and switch between disks from a pop-up menu.
- Click on a Finder window to display it in an Open or Save dialog.
- Open the folder shown in an Open or Save dialog in the Finder.
- Create folders, get information (including changing name, type, and
creator), and move items to the Trash from within file dialogs.
- "Rebound" back to the last file you used.
- Make "Replace" the default option instead of "Cancel" when saving
a file with the same name as an existing file.
- Speed up the display of Open and Save dialogs by turning off custom
color icons in the file list.
Default Folder will operate on any Macintosh running System 7 or higher.
In addition to the standard internet archives, information and updates are
available at:

Description (Version 1.0)
* A Unique Collection of Cool Games and Utilities, All-In-One!
* HyperGames is a HyperCard stack, jam-packed with more than 50
exciting games and useful utilities. Creative games include an
acclaimed Pong clone, a Pac-Man clone, animations, music makers,
mathematical puzzles, educational quizzes, etc. Original HyperTalk
utilities include a Find/Replace function, an Internet data
converter, an automatic index generator, a progress bar, synchronised
multiple scrolling fields, and much much more. It is also an ideal
vehicle to learn scripting, as well as to demonstrate the awesome
power of HyperCard!
* HyperGames has been "battle-tested" with real kids. In fact, many of
the games were conceived by kids, and most of the graphics were drawn
by kids (8, 6, and 4 year olds). HyperGames can be enjoyed in
HyperCard Player, but you can extend the games and utilities if you
take full advantage of HyperCard. HyperGames has colour, but most of
the games and utilities function well on a black & white monitor.
* The design philosophy of HyperGames is "simplicity and consistency",
or "Keep it Simple Stupid (K.I.S.S.)". The scripts contain 100% pure
HyperTalk with no X-things (XCMD, XFCN) except for "AddColor".
* HyperGames is HyperCard stackware for the Apple Macintosh computer,
but it will be converted to cross-platform QuickTime Interactive (QTi)
format. It will be on-line playable directly from a web browser, and
downloadable to any personal computer that supports Apple's QuickTime
Interactive (QTi) technology.

Subject: [*] John's WP Citations 2.0
A bibliography manager for WordPerfect 3.1 and later.
Automates selection and formatting of bibliographic citations to any
formatting style, including footnotes, endnotes or in-text citations plus
bibliography as required by the Chicago Manual of Style, MLA, APA or any
others.
Designed to function as easily and competently as a dedicated reference
manager such as EndNote or ProCite. Works with any database program.
Operates as a transparent extension of both the database and WordPerfect.
Unsolicited comments from users:
"wonderful . . . works very well indeed! . . . more functional than EndNote
. . . the integration between WP and FileMaker is very elegant . . . it's
nice not to have to be forced to use MS Word just because I need to use
EndNote . . . fine macros! . . . the program is very fast. It is as fast as
EndNote and much more convenient"
New in this version: Much faster. Multi-file support. Works with any
database program; FileMaker Pro v. 3 sample enclosed. Supports any
reference style. The most popular academic styles are built-in, and any
number of your own can be added. Automatic cross-referencing of all
citations, endnotes and footnotes.
Seamlessly integrated with John's WP Note Editor 4.0 for an enhancement to
WordPerfect for academic use that has to be seen to be believed.
Unsolicited comments from users on Note Editor:
"Very clever . . . I finally finished my doctoral dissertation, submitted
it in December, got the degree last month. The whole thing (400 pp.)
written on WordPerfect for Mac, and your footnote macros made the work
*much* easier"
Free. May be included on AMUG, Info-Mac and UMich CD's.

The Mac-FTP-list lists over 200 mac anonymous ftp sites (some with notes),
over 110 Mac web pages, and contains some instructions on how to use anonymous
ftp and find files as well a format chart showing which programs decompress
and decode which files. Also there is a section on how to use certain files.

To insure that the columns in the Format Chart section line up correctly the
document's text must be in a monospaced font such as Courier 10pt, Monaco 9pt,
or a PC equivalent.
Permission is given for this program to be included on the Info-Mac CD-ROM.
