AudioGraph reproduces the abilities of a Kay sonagram using on an Apple Macintoshü computer or other MacOSü clone. With the added benefit that the sonogram and soundwave displays can be measured for frequency and levels interactively. The digitisation is carried out using either the built-in digitiser in modern Macs or one of the many commercial devices available for the Mac, such as the old low end MacRecorderü hardware or modern sophisticated PCI sound cards like the AudioMedia III ü. AudioGraph will run on a Mac Plus or newer, and it has been tested on many different models up to a G4. It has been tested on system 6.0.8 through to 9.0.4. A PowerMac is recommended for the full colour and oscilloscope features. AudioGraph provides sound digitisation facilities on newer Macintosh computers using the system standard interface. Professional digitisation is better carried out with special hardware and software, AudioGraph can then be used to analyse the sound files produced. The plots can be in greyscale or false colour (or both)with scale changes in 3db intervals or smooth gradation. These audiographs can be printed in colour or in black and white. For scientific purposes documentation is very important, so each audiograph and measurement file records time, date, sound file name, frequency and time resolution and range, along with all the settings used to produce the audiograph. A comment facility is provided to allow notes to be included in all measurement files, so reproducibility is made easier. Registration is with a serial number and payments can be made via Kagi.
