Contents of README:rsept.zip is the version for Windows95/NT it has long file names (and all the html help files); I haven't had time to fix the file names to the DOS/3.1 (FAT) 8.3 names yet so there is also a rsept31.zip which contains files with shortened names. Due to hardware problems these haven't really got the testing they deserve (with only a small amount of luck I'll be able to provide faster response; at least until Feb). In particular printing may be problematic, you should cut and paste the bitmaps to your favorite word processor as that seems to be pretty trouble free. This code is lagging behind the Unix development by about 1 month. I checked out the code for this version on Sept 1/97 and built from there. I will probably build a new version around mid/late October with the current code snapshot. what's new: - there is some library/data support but it's in the pre-big change style; I'll catch up once the new format/locations become permanent. - this is a snapshot of about 0.5a3 vintage; - there is some dyn.load stuff; sorry but I haven't figured out what parts of R should be split into their own dll's so you can link with them but if you have self-contained dll's then dyn.load should work; - drag-n-drop sort of works (it replaces source or Load from the file menu for ascii files) comment/queries to rhelp or rdevel please. robert Oct 1, I have just put up rseptbeta.zip with some changes. There are some dll's for eda, mva, spline and survival. There is some problem with survival that I don't currently have time to figure out. predict.lm is there but doesn's seem to like the version of model.matrix that I have. Oct 29, A new exe file is in exe.zip. It replaces the one in rseptbeta.zip. Only small changes to the menu's (and memory setup have been carried out). The other files in rseptbeta.zip are still needed for a complete release. June 15, Hard on the heels of the 0.62 release is an almost 0.62 release. You can find it in rjune.zip. This is still for the adventerous but I would appreciate hearing comments etc on it. It seems to run well on NT and 95 my 3.11 system doesn't want to boot any more so I haven't tried it there. what's new: o too many things to list; o mainly the graphics are consistent with the Unix version (no PicTeX yet) o wincat for cat'ing files in windows o data and the demos now work o I've installed the mva, eda, spline and stepfun libs and will get around to survival before too long o this one is compiled with Visual C; the numerics are horrible so let me know of any weird inconsistencies |
