Description:    A control program for the ZyXEL MODEMs for use with the
                Linux operating system (and other UNIX-like systems).
                This program manages the use of a ZyXEL MODEM for dial-in,
                dial-out, dial-back security, sending/receiving FAXes and
                answering machine (voice mailbox).
                Besides the original U-1496 MODEM, the newer Elite and Omni
                modems and ISDN terminal adapters are now also supported,
                although some problems with the Elite in VOICE mode remain.
                (I don't have an Elite to really test it here)

Platform:       speech synthesizer requires at least a 486DX/33, remainder
                runs on 386 systems as well.
                non-ZyXEL modems may work for DATA and FAX, but are not
                officially supported.
