Contents of README:This directory contains DockApp applications mostly for use with the WindowMaker Dock, FluxBox slit or AfterStep Wharf. However, many can be run in regular windowed-mode and can be used with most window managers. Most of these are patched to work with WindowMaker >=0.92.0 Example patches for use with other DockApps are in this directory. (The patches set CLASS or res_class to "DockApp"). The ones which don't use the patches were already compatible with later versions of WindowMaker and/or libdockapp. Many of these will work without the patches if you use the WindowMaker Dock and Clip normally. But their behaviour is erratic regarding shared icon and icon handling.(and maybe mini-windows) But, setting the window CLASS specification to DockApp makes it possible to consistently handle the application as a DockApp. This makes it possible to turn off the display of all icons and shared-icons and still have DockApp's be visible. I run WindowMaker with neither the clip nor dock showing. Then, put these lines in your WMWindowAttributes file to disable other annoying icons: "*" = { NoAppIcon = Yes; }; Perhaps better, here is a copy of my complete ~/GNUstep/Defaults/WMWindowAttributes file: { "ROX-Pinboard" = { NoResizebar = Yes; NoBorder = Yes; KeepInsideScreen = Yes; NoAppIcon = Yes; NoHideOthers = Yes; SkipWindowList = Yes; DontSaveSession = Yes; NoCloseButton = Yes; NoTitlebar = Yes; NoMiniaturizeButton = Yes; Omnipresent = Yes; }; Xdialog.WHILE_BOX = { KeepOnTop = Yes; }; "*" = { NoAppIcon = Yes; SharedAppIcon = No; }; } |
