<p>The solution from above does not swap keys in console
Here is the solution for console:
You have to modify the file "us.kmap.gz"
(if you use US keyboard maping)

<br><tt>keycode  58 = Caps_Lock</tt>
<br>to
<br><tt>keycode  58 = Control</tt>
<br> 
AND from
<br><tt>keycode  29 = Control</tt>
<br>to
<br><tt>keycode  29 = Caps_Lock</tt>
<br>And life is nice again  :)))
