Annotations

ProMod-PLUS Annotations provide the means to store or refer to data which is vital to the software development process but is not available under the standard methodologies.

You can attach this optional information to the relevant part of the model so that the information is available from within ProMod-PLUS. The Annotations can be used for project management and documentation purposes and as a link to other tools.

The "Project Information" Annotation type contains creation date, date of last update and date of last analysis for the object. This information is "read-only". You can also enter the name of the author.

For each object there are ten standard annotation types. In addition to this some objects have special annotation types attached to them. These special annotation types are used for project management.

The first five standard annotation types enable you to attach up to five files of free text to an object. This information is edited in the usual text editor and stored in the project database.

The other five standard Annotation types enable you to relate information (not contained in the project database) to the project. You can attach up to five external files to each object by entering the filename and tool reference. The tool reference must be the command that you type in to start the tool, not the name of the tool itself.
